Blues is an American original. Some say you can’t be more American than the Blues. Come follow the history of the blues musically, beginning with the back porch style, to Delta, to Chicago blues. Elk Grove’s own young musicians will play in a nightclub style jam format. The Musical History of the Blues, directed by Gary Mendoza, will rock the house bringing you back to the juke joints and cabarets reminiscent of blues history. Join us for this original production on Saturday April 27, 2013 at Sheldon High School Performing Arts Center in Elk Grove. This event is proudly presented by the City of Elk Grove and the Committee for the Arts.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND WAIVER OF CLAIMS:
In consideration of being permitted to attend the event, you, for yourself, your heirs, personal representatives and/or assigns, do hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the City of Elk Grove, its officers, agents, employees, contractors, and anyone working on their behalf (hereinafter “released parties”), from liability from any and all claims related to your attendance at, and/or participation in this event, resulting in personal injury, accident or illnesses (including death), and property loss arising from, but not limited to, participation in the activities contemplated hereunder and attendance at the events offered herein, except for the gross negligence and willful misconduct of the City of Elk Grove.
You also agree to indemnify and hold harmless the released parties from any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages and liabilities, including attorney’s fees and costs brought as a result of your involvement, participation, and attendance at any event offered by the City of Elk Grove.
You further expressly agree that the foregoing waiver and assumption of risks agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the state of California. If any portion of this release is held invalid, it is agreed that the invalid term shall be severed from this agreement and the balance shall continue in full legal force and effect.
